How To Brew

FRENCH PRESS


STEP 1:
GRIND BURLEE JOE COFFEE & BOIL WATER
Grind: Medium Coarse
Water Temp: 92-96˚ C / 199-204˚ F 
STEP 2:
ADD BURLEE JOE COFFEE TO FRENCH PRESS & ADD WATER
Ratio: 6-8g (Burlee Joe Coffee) to 100g (water)
To make half a litre (4 cups) you will need 30-35g of coffee to 500g of water. Pour
500g of water into French Press vigorously. 
STEP 3:
LET CRUST FORM AND STIR
After adding water a thin crust will form. Let coffee sit for 3-4 minutes and then
break the crust by stirring. Wait 30-45 seconds for coffee to sink to the bottom &
skim surface.
                       
           
STEP 4:
PLUNGE BURLEE JOE COFFEE AND POUR
Push Plunge down gently and pour into a Burlee Joe Coffee Mug & ENJOY!

STEP 2:

PRE-WET FILTER & ADD BURLEE JOE COFFEE INTO BED & PRE-WET BED

Ratio: 6-8g (coffee) to 100g (water)

To make 500ml (4 cups) you will need 30-35g of coffee to 500g of water. Pre-wet

the filter bed and then add coffee.

 

 

 

STEP 3:

STIR BURLEE JOE COFFEE & THEN ADD THE REST OF WATER

After pre-wetting stir coffee to ensure coffee is soaked evenly and to avoid

channeling. Pour the rest of the water in one long steady stream.

 

 

STEP 4:

ONCE ALL WATER ADDED, SWIRL POUR OVER TO EVEN OUT BED

Gently swirl to even out the coffee bed. Aim for an extraction/pour time of 2-3

minutes.




 

Adjusting for Taste

For stronger coffee:

Use 4 ounces of water per tablespoon of coffee, or…

Grind your coffee to a finer size.

 

For weaker coffee:

Use 8 ounces of water per tablespoon of coffee, or…

Grind your coffee to a coarser size.
